Ugetsudo opened a physical store in Fukushima City in April 2024.
With the desire to preserve the beauty of kimonos as a modern style, we started making kimono stadium jackets. Initially, we focused on making medium-sized items for women, and continued to create each and every item individually.

In September of the same year, in search of further possibilities, they tried their hand at crowdfunding on Makuake for the first time.
Although it was a small step to fully order just 10 items, it was a valuable experience that provided much support and learning until the project ended in December.

Through this first project, I also realized that there was a gap between my initial aspirations and reality.
Since about 80% of the supporters who cheered for us were men, we were surprised and made a discovery when we learned that there was actually a very high demand from men.
Furthermore, the more colorful and beautiful the pattern, the more popular it was among men, which was a deeply moving experience that once again brought home the potential of kimonos.

In 2025, we will build on that experience,
The second project was carried out in April, the third in August, and the fourth in November, and the year's activities concluded on December 18th.
With each event, our connections with repeat customers have deepened, and we have been able to move beyond simply providing products and move towards "creating products with shared passion."

During this time, the brand name "Runa" was also registered as a trademark.
Currently, we are not only continuing to create kimono varsity jackets, but are also exploring new forms of expression, such as unisex pullovers made from upcycled kimonos.

Don't be swayed by others, but cherish your own unique values.
Ugetsudo will continue to quietly and surely weave the future of kimono.
